Toner cartridges
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007What is a toner cartridge? Toner cartridge is used in laser printers, laser copiers and laser fax machines for printing text and/or graphics on paper. How is it different from an ink cartridge? Well, I have heard people using ink and toner interchangeably for their cartridge needs.
The technology used in inkjet printers and laser printers is completely different. The other differences are with reference to cost, quality, speed, print volume, cartridge type, network capabilities, etc. The ink cartridge is normally of smaller size and contains ink. A toner cartridge is larger in size, comes in bigger boxes and uses toner powder. I am not going into technical details of printers here. (more…)
